Project reference 21427

Dry Soil — Dugong Cut Carry Grade

Define the finished purpose, reference levels, underlying material condition and the evidence required by the receiving operation. Geometry alone does not establish structural or agronomic performance.

This reference assembles relevant extracts from the guide library. It is general project planning, not a local project report, verified specification or translated technical publication.

Cut, Collect, Carry, Place & Grade

Cutting, collecting, carrying, placing and grading are different tasks. A machine that drags material forward does not necessarily carry a contained load to a distant low area. Break the earthworks into these actions so the route, implement and checking method match the actual work.

Before moving material

Survey high areas, receiving areas and obstacles before loading.

Receiving operation and checks

Recheck levels before another layer or another operation covers the work. Track the destination of material as well as the appearance of the cut.

Material suitability, safe towing and compaction requirements remain separate decisions.

Cut, Collect, Carry, Place & Grade

Dugong's cut, collect, carry, place and grade sequence should be planned around the job's actual material route. Filling a bowl is not the end of the task; placing material correctly and checking the surface are part of the cycle.

Before moving material

Mark source and receiving areas and confirm tractor suitability.

Receiving operation and checks

Prepare and verify the receiving layer. Include empty return and turning time when estimating the cycle.

The workflow does not promise a universal hourly production rate.

Dry Soil Grading

Dry-soil grading can increase dust and produce hard clods or loose material depending on the soil. The working method should match the material rather than assume dryness is always desirable.

Before moving material

Assess dust, cutting response and material condition.

Receiving operation and checks

Prepare the formed layer for its intended use. Observe dust, spill and whether the placed material retains its shape.

Water application and dust equipment need their own controlled operating method.
