Site Preparation Package — Machine Handover
Define the finished purpose, reference levels, underlying material condition and the evidence required by the receiving operation. Geometry alone does not establish structural or agronomic performance.
This reference assembles relevant extracts from the guide library. It is general project planning, not a local project report, verified specification or translated technical publication.
Operator Preparation and Site Responsibilities
Operator preparation should match the supplied machine, tractor combination and worksite. General familiarity with a tractor is not proof that an operator understands scraper loading, release or transport arrangements.
Before moving material
Obtain machine instructions and the employer's applicable training requirements.
Receiving operation and checks
Keep operating and maintenance arrangements consistent with the supplied configuration. Confirm that the operator can explain the controls and limits used on the job.
Training and workplace duties depend on the jurisdiction and task; this is not legal certification.

Nursery sites often combine growing areas with intensive access and irrigation infrastructure. Different zones can require different soil, drainage and traffic surfaces.
Before moving material
Map growing beds, service corridors and vehicle routes.
Receiving operation and checks
Install irrigation, growing systems and the selected surfacing. Check thresholds, crossings and low points between zones.
A single flat plane may be inappropriate across the whole nursery.
Read the complete Nursery Site Preparation guideThe Surface Is the Handover
The surface is the handover between operations. An excavator may finish its excavation, but the roller still needs suitable material, lift thickness and moisture. A scraper may finish shaping, but the irrigation operator still needs a connected fall to a usable outlet. Define acceptance at each transition instead of allowing the next machine to inherit an unresolved problem.
Before moving material
Name the operation that receives the surface and agree its requirements.
Receiving operation and checks
Release the area to the next operation only after outstanding defects are identified. Use independent level checks and project-specific material tests where required.
Visual smoothness alone does not prove compaction, bearing capacity or hydraulic performance.
